Artificial intelligence (AI) is a cutting edge technology of making machines smart, using algorithms to allow computers to solve problems. AI already powers search engines online shopping recommendations and digital assistants. Radiologists can use AI to calculate the exact shape and volume of tumours, revolutionizing treatment.
Therefore, Some experts believe that this innovative technology is going to be one of the main drivers of the fourth industrial revolution. it has the potential to not just transform the tech sector but the way we live our lives.
AI is an emerging technology and its possibilities AI are infinite, from fraud prevention to developing new strategies to address climate change.
AI technologies are brilliant at analyzing vast amounts of data to learn to complete a particular task, a technique called Machine learning. But AI’s not good at transferring what it has learned from one type of task to another; learning abstract concepts; and ‘one-shot’ learning, where a general rule is learned from a single experience, the sort of broad intelligence humans excel at.

1. Tesla
Elon Musk’s Tesla Inc, the American electric-automobile manufacturing company is using AI technology on electric propulsion and autonomous driving.
Tesla system consists of two AI chips in order to support it for better performance. Each of the AI chips makes a distinct assessment of the traffic situation for guiding the self-driving cars. The evaluation of both chips is matched by a system to make safe decisions.
2. Microsoft
American multinational technology company Microsoft Corporation has invested big in programs like AI for Earth and AI for good. These programs extend of AI towards solving some of words biggest challenges to create a more sustainable and accessible world.
AI for Earth program enables precision agriculture through programs like FarmBeats to improve yield while reducing resource consumption. AI for good program basically uses AI to save lives through disaster recovery, addressing the needs of children, protecting displaced people, and promote human rights.
3. Facebook
Facebook, Inc., an American social media conglomerate corporation, is using AI to understand the interests of its customers. This helps the company to show specific adverts to relevant potential users.
Facebook is also using AI-based DeepText technique, a deep learning-based text understanding engine that can understand with high accuracy the textual content of several thousand posts per second, spanning more than 20 languages.
4. IBM
IBM, American multinational technology and consulting company is continuously strengthening its functions with AI. It’s AI system Watson helps machines to learn, adapt to new inputs and make a better decision. Watson uses a sophisticated machine learning technique called Deep Learning. Deep learning layers algorithms and uses data science to create artificial neural networks.
It enables Watson to learn from unstructured data such as photos, videos and audio files meaning Watson can tell an insurance company exactly how a car has been damaged in a crash by discerning make and model before comparing images of an undamaged car to the damaged one.

Bottom line
Although Artificial intelligence is radically transforming society by increasing productivity and improving lives, there are still some questions like how might AI affect work in the modern world, will people still be needed in the workplace ?.
The short and simple answer is that jobs and roles are expected to change as some tasks become automatic and new jobs are generated.
According to research conducted by Mckinsey Global Institute, less than 5% of our jobs can be entirely automated using technology so our jobs are safe but this study also found something a bit more intriguing that 60% of our occupation have at least the third of their tasks that can be automated so in other words our jobs are safe but the way we perform our jobs is likely going to change.
There is a risk of creating disproportionately affect in some social groups but it’s short term. AI could increase inequality if we don’t share its benefits across society. Bias coming from AI systems, even if unintentional could disproportionately affect some social groups influencing anything from job prospects to treatment by justice systems.
The technological revolution we are going through does not have to be a race between machines but rather an opportunity for us to work together. AI is not morally good or bad itself. Widespread automation is unavoidable and humans will need to work alongside robots.
